To carry on the Palm Sunday traditions, palms are distributed to those who gather in the church and they receive blessings during the mass.
People getting the palms take them back home and place them in places where it is considered to be holy, like around religious pictures, statues or other holy objects.

The tradition of Palm Sunday is usually like one has to keep the Palm with them for about a year and until the next Palm Sunday, when it is substituted by new blessed Palms.
